Heiner Meyer is a contemporary German artist known for initiating the New Pop Art movement. As a young student, he was an assistant in Salvador Dali’s studio, where he learned the art of telling multiple stories in a single picture. His pictures are frequently multi-layered, with images and text blending for subtle yet powerful effects. He has recently lived in New York and was hailed by reviewers there as the "crème de la crème" of the New York art scene.

This piece uses a polo motif to create a complex of familiar resonances which gives us, finally, a picture of the art world and of ourselves. The "Polo V" print is from an edition of 100, in which each print is revised by the artist with lacquer and fluid amber. It’s printed on handmade paper and comes in a conservational frame of solid oak with 3 mm plexiglas.
